Liverpool have taken the lead over FC Porto in the Champions League through Mohamed Salah.
The Reds were given one of the toughest draws of this season’s Champions League group stage, with AC Milan, remarkably, being their pot four opponent.
After defeating the Rossoneri on their home turf in their opening group fixture, Liverpool faced a trip to Portugal to take on a resolute Porto side.
Porto knocked Juventus out of last season’s Champions League before giving eventual European champions Chelsea a run for their money in the quarter-finals.
Their resilience has seemingly weakened in the months which have passed since, with it taking just 18 minutes for Mohamed Salah to break the deadlock.
Salah hit 100 Premier League goals in a Liverpool shirt during a thrilling clash with Brentford at the weekend. He’s now replicating his good form on the European stage.
