“He had a good day today, I’m sure he’s going to enjoy the win because he’s not getting many at club level,” Keane said with a wry smile.

“Football’s all about making things right. He had a tough summer, but he has reacted well.”

“He’s a young player he missed a penalty, all the great football players miss penalties but it’s about how to react,” said Keane.

“Even in his interview he’s moved on, learned from it and he’s going to have a great career.”

“The responsibility he had put on him is because the manager knew the character of the player and the calibre of the player but that happens in football,” said Saka.

“We all miss penalties but he’s young enough to play well for Arsenal, to get into the England squad, to get back to these stages to put it right and redeem himself”
