An overhead-kick from Sadio Mane in Liverpool’s victory over Norwich City will take some beating as the Premier League goal of the weekend.
Liverpool were hoping to ramp up the pressure on Manchester City ahead of them facing Tottenham later this evening, but found themselves 1-0 down shortly after the half-time break.
Considering the strength of Jurgen Klopp’s attacking ranks, you felt as though there was a degree of inevitability about them finding an equaliser and going from there. Predictably, the game finished 3-1 to the Reds.
Mane’s goal, which took the scores to 1-1, proved to be a significant one for title-chasing Liverpool – and what a goal it was, too. Mane watched the ball come down from the sky and struck it on the overhead-kick, beating the goalkeeper.
