Real Madrid new boy Antonio Rudiger has been taking no prisoners in training.
Rudiger joined Los Blancos on a free transfer after Chelsea were unable to reach an agreement with his representatives over a contract extension.
The German has emerged as one of the leading defenders in the world under the stewardship of Thomas Tuchel. He’ll be looking to build on that in Madrid.
In joining the European champions, Rudiger has reunited with one of his former Chelsea teammates in Eden Hazard.
What he evidently has not been informed of is that Hazard’s body is not as durable as it was during his time at Chelsea – he’s now immensely injury prone.
Rudiger, in his naivety, lunged into a tackle that Hazard probably would’ve brushed off at Chelsea, but one that had him down in a heap during training.
We’re not entirely sure what was going through Rudiger’s head when he went into this tackle, but the bloke’s absolutely nuts – so we’re not surprised…
