Manchester United will enter a new era this Sunday when Portuguese manager Rúben Amorim will take the reins of the Red Devils and welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford in the two o’clock kick-off.
This will be the Red Devils seventh manager since their legendary manger Sir Alex Ferguson retired back in 2013 after the most successful period the club ever had.
It’s been over ten years plus since Manchester United have last won the league. This is the same club that laughed at their bitter rivals for going 20 years without winning the league. Can you see United winning the league in the next five years ..?
Sadly for the Red Devils Erik ten Hag simply just did not work and the board at Old Trafford had enough of the 53 year old Dutch man. Rúben Amorim looks the part, he has done an excellent job with Sporting Lisbon as they sit top of the Portuguese league and just this week Sporting beat Manchester City four goals to one, in Rúben Amorim’s last outing with the Portuguese side.
Rúben Amorim must be given the time and the money to put his stamp on this United team. The Portuguese manager will have to weed out the time wasters, ‘the bluffers’ as Roy Keane calls them and attract fresh blood to Old Trafford.
Manchester United need a squad of leaders and players that want to play for the badge and match the high expectations of one of the biggest football clubs in the world.
Rúben Amorim is a guy that is still very young for a manger and when he arrives in England, he will no doubt bring a few of his trusted men with him. https://www.spaceportsweden.com/ will be the place to keep a close eye on what happens at Old Trafford.
The aim this season should be to get the Red Devils back into the Champions League for next season and compete for a trophy. Next summer will be the real test, when Rúben Amorim will have to go big in the transfer market and hope to bring in some of the best up and coming talent in the football word to the North West of England.
This Sunday all eyes will be on the Old Trafford stadium and Rúben Amorim will be hoping to get off on the right foot, this is the manager that simply has to work for the Red Devils. If the 39 year doesn’t work, what will happen? United is a proud club with a proud tradition of winning trophies, hopefully for United fans Rúben Amorim is the man they’ve been waiting for ..
