Roy Keane speaks about notorious Haaland tacklešŸ˜¬

Roy Keane reluctantly spoke to Tommy Tiernan about the infamous horror challenge on Erling Haalandā€™s father, Alfie back in 2001.

The former Manchester United midfielder featured as a guest on RTƉā€™s Tommy Tiernan Show, where he talked about everything, from his footballing career to his first date with his wife.

Of course, when discussing his career Tiernan brought up the infamous challenge on Haaland which Keane admitted in his biography was pre-meditated.

The tackle was retaliation from Keane after he had suffered a cruciate ligament injury in a clash with the defender four years prior.

The 51-year-old reluctantly went into detail when pressed by the host.

ā€œIt seems a bit more dramatic than what it was really. I donā€™t think it was as bad,ā€ he said.

When asked if he felt bad about the tackle, Keane insisted that the incident wasnā€™t that serious.

ā€œI donā€™t think he was injured,

ā€œHe played three days later for his international team. Why let the truth get in the way of a good story? He was fine.ā€

What do you think of Keaneā€™s reaction to the tackle?
