Keane has become bit of a cult hero among football fans in the last couple of years following the huge success of his punditry for Sky Sports.

His straight forward and sometimes brutal analysis of games coupled with his quick wit had made him extremely popular with the public.

The Cork man even set up an Instagram account that amassed over 1 million followers in less than a week.

The last series of I’m a Celeb was branded as being too nice and co-host Ant believes Roy Keane could be the man to reignite the fire in camp.

“It’s always good to have people that will speak their mind and ruffle a few feathers. As much as we love people getting on and having fun, we also love a bit of conflict there” said Ant.

Dec also chimed in by saying “Roy Keane for me. I’d love to see him treat his fellow campmates with the same disdain he treats Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Jamie Redknapp.

“He’d be no-nonsense, he wouldn’t put up with stupidity from the others. He’s top of my list.”

Keane is known for being a no-nonsense type of person but he is also very competitive so maybe he’d be up to the challenge. We’ll just have to wait and see.
