This is just a lovely story involving Roy Keane visiting the Children’s ward in Cork, with no pictures or media involved. There was one child in particular that pulled through thanks to his visit to the hospital, pure class from Roy Keane. The story took place roughly 20 years ago and Roy Keane’s visit gave that one child the boost that was needed to make a full recovery and it helped the child to make a return home.

Wether it’s on off the pitch, the former Manchester United and Irish captain has always done his best to help his team or help others and here’s a prime example of that.
Excellent and TYVM, Denis Irwin another Cork legend who goes about his business in the exact same manner he did on the pitch, not too many would say the same about M. McCarthy who cost Ireland a place in the closing stages of a world cup, am not a Cork man but have always appreciated Keano’s honesty and integrity involving matters on or off the pitch. Legends live on, the also-ran,s who hung onto their coattails will never be remembered for the right reasons, and before someone shouts Haaland if you are going to dish out that brand of football week-in week-out then be prepared to take as good as you give and Captain not so fantastic was no stranger to using a lot more than his studs to settle matters
