The former Manchester United and Irish captain Roy Keane was on Sky Sports on Saturday afternoon with Micah Richards and Graeme Souness and a lot of Irish fans weren’t happy with the Cork man for continuing to wear the Poppy. The Poppy has been a hugely controversial issue because of the history between Ireland and England and it comes up every year without fail.
James McClean and Celtic and others haven’t helped with that controversy, should Keane be wearing the Poppy being a proud Irishman? Twitter users aren’t happy with the 50 year old Cork man for wearing it anyways, see it below…

Roy Keane doesn’t play for Celtic. The club decided not to wear them as the fans protest against it for reasons already stated earlier. Instead the club donate £10000 to the poppy appeal every year but that doesn’t make the right headlines.

When Micah pointed out that there is a lack of standards at Man Utd and something needs to give, this was Roy Keane’s take! Started off by saying that Ole will be under more pressure today than he was after the Pool game. His take on Ole at the end. Have a listen👇🏽 pic.twitter.com/y8w4dwrAbA
