Ronan McCarthy the former Sigerson Cup winner with Cork has stepped down as the Cork senior football manager after four years in charge of the rebels. The highlight was undoubtedly beating Kerry in that famous semi-final at Paric Ui Chaoimh but sadly losing to Tipperary in the Munster football final.
The 48 year old can look back on his time with Cork with frustration as the footballers are coming through in Cork but not quick enough it seems. We wish the Douglas man all the best in wherever he goes next.
