Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly tempted by the prospect of a move to Chelsea this summer.
While Ronaldo enjoyed a successful campaign back at Manchester United from an individual perspective, there’s no denying that the Red Devils fell miserably short of expectations.
As a result, Man United will NOT be playing in the Champions League next season, much to the dismay of ‘Mr. Champions League’ Ronaldo, no doubt.
In recent weeks, there has been increasing suggestion that he could in fact depart Man United this summer in search of a club that will be playing in Europe’s premier club competition.
According to Todo Fichajes, Chelsea are one club playing in the Champions League who would be prepared to table an offer to Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes.
The report goes as far as suggesting that Ronaldo himself is tempted by the proposition of moving to Stamford Bridge and pulling on the Chelsea shirt next campaign.
It does seem rather far-fetched at this point, so we’ll have to wait and see how things develop, but it’s certainly one to keep an eye on as the summer develops…
