Cristiano Ronaldo comes up thumps again this time for Portugal, scoring a last minute winner to break Irish hearts right at the death. That goal makes him the hight scorer ever in International football passing out Iran’s Ali Daei, another record for one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Ireland did not deserve that after the best display so far under former Dundalk manger Stephen Kenny’s reign as Irish manager. They’re are a lot of good young Irish players in that squad, ones for the future and they can be proud of that performance, but it really is a kick in the teeth for Stephen Kenny and his men.
