Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly doubtful for Manchester United’s first game under Ralf Rangnick, having potentially injured his knee while celebrating.

Ronaldo helped restore the feel-good factor at Old Trafford on Thursday night by netting a match-winning brace for Man United in a five-goal thriller against Arsenal.

It was the perfect way to sign off on Michael Carrick’s time in charge as interim manager and leave things perfectly poised for when Ralf Rangnick took charge of the squad.

However, Ronaldo may well have been injured in the process and ruled himself out of the Red Devils’ clash with Crystal Palace tomorrow afternoon.

According to The Sun, there are fears that Ronaldo is carrying a knee injury and will be unavailable for selection as Man United take on the Eagles.

It remains to be seen if CR7 will feel it necessary to alter his celebration to something that is a little kinder to his ageing knees…
