Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United appears to rely on Atletico Madrid selling Antoine Griezmann.
Ronaldo has made no secret of his desire to leave Man United in order to continue to compete in the Champions League.
However, despite links to Bayern Munich and Chelsea, no top club has emerged as a plausible suitor for the Man United hitman.
Until now, with Atletico Madrid having expressed an interest and Ronaldo said to be open to the idea of returning to the Spanish capital.
The trouble is, Atletico, at current, cannot afford to bankroll Ronaldo’s wages. First, they’ll have to part ways with Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann is another former world beater whose performances have tailed off with age and is now struggling to generate interest.

It is remarkable to think that two players who were previously on top of the world are now requiring extreme measures to find themselves new clubs.
Perhaps they both ought to head to Qatar or the MLS…
