Did Cristiano Ronaldo SPIT at Manchester United teammate Anthony Elanga during Saturday’s clash with Southampton?
Ronaldo had an afternoon to forget against the Saints as his barren run continued and Man United missed the opportunity to strengthen their grip on the Champions League qualification positions.
CR7 was visibly frustrated out on the Old Trafford turf, as he has been for several weeks now. Did that frustration boil over onto his teammate Anthony Elanga, in the form of saliva?
It’s not entirely clear what’s gone on here, but from the video, it looks as though Ronaldo has spat at the 19-year-old.

We’re going to give Ronaldo the benefit of the doubt and assume this is merely camera trickery, especially considering Elanga didn’t react, and you’d have expected him to, were he to be spat on.
It is rather convincing though, isn’t it?
