Cristiano Ronaldo has distanced himself from Mason Greenwood following the allegations made against his Manchester United teammate, according to the Daily Mail.
English football was sent into a state of shock and horror on Sunday after Greenwood’s girlfriend, Harriet Robson, shared photo, video and audio evidence of alleged abuse on her Instagram story.
Greenwood was subsequently suspended by Manchester United and later arrested by police. Investigations continue to determine the extent of the player’s wrongdoing.
While Greenwood remains innocent until proven otherwise, that hasn’t stopped some of his Manchester United teammates from letting their feelings be known towards the youngster.

One report claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo has NEVER got on with Greenwood, with the Daily Mail claiming that CR7 has been one of the first Man United players to unfollow him on social media.
Ronaldo is the most marketable and PR-aware footballer on the planet. He cannot be seen to be endorsing the kind of behaviour that Greenwood is accused of.
That’s especially considering Ronaldo’s own reputation was previously put at stake by allegations of rape. No action was taken against him following those accusations, it remains to be seen if Greenwood will be so fortunate.
