Cristiano Ronaldo has completed his Manchester United medical ahead of a proposed return to Old Trafford, reports Sky Sports.

Man United shocked the football world on Friday after announcing they had struck an agreement with Juventus to sign Ronaldo, subject to a medical and the signing of the contract.

The Red Devils fended off competition from arch-rivals Man City to get Ronaldo through the door, with the Portuguese forward expected to join up with the squad after the international break.

Ronaldo has today taken another significant step closer to becoming a Man United player once again, with Sky Sports reporting that a medical has now been completed.

Though 36, Ronaldo is in prime physical condition and there is not expected to be any problems which could threaten his romantic return to Manchester.

Once all the relevant paperwork is completed, Man United will be able to formally announce that the deal for Ronaldo is done ahead of the transfer deadline tomorrow at 11pm.
