The former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher responded to Rio Ferdinand’s call out today on twitter. The Liverpool legend wasn’t having any of Ferdinand’s bull on the social media platform, calling him a fanboy of Ronaldo. Carragher does have a point to be fair, but as one user points out, I don’t see Carragher calling out one his old team-mates Steven Gerrard…

You speak sense in this circumstance but very very hypocritical from you, not once have you called out your mate Steven Gerrard & how he’s doing with Aston Villa. Has a worse record there than Gary Neville had at Valencia btw. So you don’t have the right to say the ‘mate’ bit.

Should Ronaldo start for Manchester United? There’s no doubt about, the Red Devils should have let him go in the summer, he’ll surely move on come the transfer window in January? Interesting times ahead for Ronaldo and Manchester United as they look to put that awful loss behind them.
