Liam Brady and Richie Sadlier clashed on RTE last night on whether or not Ireland manager Stephen Kenny should be given a new contract. The former Arsenal player Liam Brady believes the FAI should wait for more evidence before giving the former Dundalk manager the new contract that he wants.
Richie Sadlier believes we’ve seen enough improvement from this Irish side and thinks Kenny deserves a longer stint in the job. There were some bad results for Ireland in Luxembourg and Azerbaijan in their qualification for Qatar 2022, but there have been some encouraging signs and maybe Kenny should be given another campaign to prove his worth.
