The big South African lock looks to be getting closer and closer to fitness as he recovers from an ACL injury that he picked up in his first game playing in the red of Munster vs rivals Leinster at the Aviva Stadium.
The second row signed for Munster in 2019 in the hope to add a big of beef to the Munster pack and make it a bit ‘tougher’ as in the past they were found wanting in the later stages of the big competitions. See his recovering here;

Munster were very unlucky to lose to Leinster at the weekend in the Pro14 in reschedule game at Thomond Park, the previous one was called off due to a Covid mix-up in the Leinster camp. Munster were the better team for a large part of that game and there as a suspect throw in to the line-out… Leinster showed their class though and showed they’re not beaten till the very end.
