Reece James gives thoughts on Chelsea’s new signings

Reece James has given his thoughts on the new arrivals at Chelsea amid the side’s shaky run of form in the past few games.

Chelsea over £300million in January and that’s without mentioning the money that was spent in the summer to bring the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella to name a few.

James has had his injury struggles this season and spoke recently about the club’s new faces and how excited he is to play with them.

I like playing with new players. You don’t really know what to expect.

You know, they come in from different places all over the world and they’re all here to help at the end of the day so the quicker they can settle in, the quicker we can maximise our output.”

James then touched on that with these new signings, things will take time and patience is key.

Everyone thinks that things happen overnight because we bought a few players for ‘X’ amount but football does not work like that. We are progressing as a team with new players learning the club’s culture.”

Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways with a victory over Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League last 16 first leg on Wednesday.
