Marcus Rashford has taken a swipe at former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves after the pundit’s claims in wake of the win over Tottenham.
The Red Devils bounced back from the defeat to Liverpool in emphatic fashion, defeating Tottenham 3-0 on their home turf and spelling the end of Nuno Espirito Santo’s time in North London.
Marcus Rashford was named only among the substitutes as Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani led the line, but scored United’s third goal after his introduction in the second-half.
Though Rashford came into the action and got on the scoresheet, former Man United midfielder Owen Hargreaves revealed his belief post-match that the England international was not happy at all.
Hargreaves, quoted by the Daily Mail, said “I think you could see that in his celebration, he was fuming.”

Rashford didn’t have any intention of allowing Hargreaves to make any claims that could reflect badly on his under-pressure manager and took to Twitter to brand it nonsense.
Fuming at the manager??! We won the game 🤷🏾♂️ that celebration was pure relief! It’s been a hard week… https://t.co/qHCg5x268u
