Qatari journalist posts PROVOCATIVE tweet after Germany exit World Cup 😶

Germany were dumped out of the group stage of the World Cup for the second time in a row in shock fashion despite beating Costa Rica.

Japan beat Spain 2-1 after being 1-0 down to top Group E, with Luis Enrique’s side taking 2nd spot, meaning Hansi Flick’s side were sent packing.

After the full-time whistle yesterday evening, a Qatari journalist, who has 400,000 followers on Twitter, aimed a dig at the Germany team and their stance over being silenced in their desire to wear the “One Love armband” prior to their opening group match against Japan.

Qatar has come under intense scrutiny in recent months over its beliefs and treatment of homosexuals, as the Germany team attempted to make their feelings known about the matter during the tournament.

The journalist had already had his say on their actions after their match against Japan, saying “You will come to us, respect our religion, cultures and laws. Other than that, put your hands wherever you want!”

Now, with last night’s tweet, the journalist will feel he has one over the Germans, who have just two wins at the World Cup since they were crowned champions in 2014.

Japan will now face Croatia on Monday afternoon, while Spain face Group F toppers Morocco on Tuesday.
