PSG face UEFA charge after breaching Financial Fair Play rules

Paris Saint-Germain have BREACHED UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules and are likely to be fined, according to L’Equipe.

For many years, PSG, Manchester City and others have seemingly been able to spend whatever they like in the transfer market without the fear of any consequences.

This is despite UEFA having introduced Financial Fair Play rules in order to shorten the disparity between cash-rich, state-owned clubs and their fellow competitors.

We have been offered some hope that UEFA will no longer be so tolerant, with L’Equipe reporting they could be set to clamp down on PSG’s recent overspending.

PSG’s enormous wage bill has reportedly earned them a UEFA charge over a FFP rule breach

While PSG have been by no means the biggest spenders in this transfer window to date, their enormous wage bill is understood to have breached FFP rules.

The report claims that PSG will NOT face the possibility of expulsion from UEFA competitions, but could have a relatively hefty fine heading their way.

Whether that will be enough to convince them to change their ways remains to be seen. After all, they quite clearly have no shortage of cash, do they?
