PSG boss Christoph Galtier has given an update on Lionel Messi’s contract situation with the Argentine’s current deal expiring this summer.
Messi joined the French champions in 2021 after leaving Barcelona and there has been plenty of speculation surrounding his future at the club.
However, Galtier is confident that the club can come to an agreement over an extension.
“There is Leo’s position and the club’s position. There are discussions going on between the two parties.

“As for what Messi will decide, or what the club will decide, that’s not for me to say. It’s confidential”.

Messi has been linked with the likes of Al Hilal and former sides Newell’s Old Boys and Barcelona, with Barca president Joan Laporta saying last month that a meeting was held between the club and Messi’s father, Jorge.
Will Messi return to Barca or will he remain in Paris? We’ll have to wait and see.
