Speaking on the Happy Hour podcast he said,

“So I went to K-Wing, which is like a working wing for people that aren’t really in trouble or workers.

“I go there, and the guy (prison guard) goes – I’ve got my little bag of stuff – and he goes: ‘Troy, you’re in room… I say room – cell’. And then ‘just to let you know, they’ve all got the paper, so they all know who you are – good luck! And he pushed me in and shut the door.”

Deeney was released after almost three months of his sentence.

No-one will ever forget his dramatic play-off winner.

The Birmingham City player, scored 7 goals in the Championship this season as they finished in 17th in the League.
