Manchester United and Newcastle United are both reportedly interested in signing Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
News broke yesterday evening that Dembele is now expected to leave Barcelona on a free in the summer after contract talks between him and the Catalan giants collapsed.
The Frenchman, who signed for Barca for a reported £135.5m (via the BBC), is reportedly set to walk out the door without Joan Laporta recouping a single penny of that fee.
That emphasis for Dembele and his representatives will now turn to finding a new club, and as per reports, there is no shortage of interest in the Premier League.
According to Sky Italia’s Matteo Moretto, Manchester United and Newcastle United have already made contact with Dembele’s entourage over the possibility of signing him in the summer.

Even with his patchy injury record, signing a player of Dembele’s ability without spending a single penny is a proposition that any club ought to be taking a look at.
It remains to be seen whether Dembele is keen on moving to the Premier League or will wait for offers elsewhere.
If the roadblock between him and Barca was a monetary issue, however, then entertaining interest from either Man United or Newcastle wouldn’t be a bad idea…
