The former Galway hurler and hurler of the year Joe Canning lined out for his club Portumna last weekend in the Galway hurling Championship.

Joe Canning scored 1-8 against Loughrea in the semi-final of the Galway hurling Championship and wouldn’t you know it, the main main Buff Egan was there and got some great footage of the great hurler.

Galway were very close to beating this year in the semi-final of the All-Ireland final and imagine if they had Joe Canning, they would have surely have got over the line and denied Limerick their third All-Ireland title..?

Could the 34 year old be tempted to come back and play with the county, he’s still a top, top talent, no doubt about it.
