Brian Cody hailed the strength of character of his Kilkenny side at their Nowlan Park homecoming this evening.
The Cats beat Galway by four points in yesterday’s All-Ireland final to capture their eighth title of the past 10 years, and 36th overall.
Thus today’s visit to Crumlin Children’s Hospital and homecoming to the Marble City had a familiar feel, with their record-breaking manager praising their display as equal to top displays any other sport.
“The skill and the strength of character that they showed can be compared to any display by any team in any code anywhere,” said Cody.
“It was outstanding and it was just terrific to see it. I just could not credit the players enough for that.”
