The official account of the Tour Championship have made a proposition to Hollywood actor Adam Sandler in a bid to get the Happy Gilmore star to play a round with them in August.
In a bid to coax Sandler into 18 holes and what we hope is an invitation for the 54-year-old to become Happy Gilmore again they said: ‘Hey @AdamSandler, if this gets 10K retweets, will you come play 18 holes with us at the end of August?’

We take a lot of pride in having you as the 1996 Tour Championship winner 😅 pic.twitter.com/4EEqPdeD9r

The post also had an image of the wall of honours which features fictional professional golfer Happy Gilmore listed as the 1996 champion.
This month celebrates the 25th year anniversary since the release of the cult comedy movie ‘Happy Gilmore’ which saw Sandler play a failed hockey player turn unorthodox professional golfer.
Sandler took to social media this week in celebration of the movies celebration and recorded himself doing a trademark Happy Gilmore tee-off which has been attempted on golf courses all over the world for over two and a half decades.

Should Sandler agree to the Tour Championships terms we may see the return of Happy Gilmore later this year which is something the world needs right now.
You can help make this a reality by simply retweeting the Tour Championships tweet and who knows maybe we’ll get to see the Happy’s old hockey putter.
