(Photos) Crystal Palace’s announcement of £15m Denmark international was truly terrible

Fulham have confirmed the signing of Denmark international Joachim Andersen, giving him what is surely one of the worst announcements in recent memory.

Andersen was used predominantly as a substitute at Euro 2020, as the Danes defied the odds to reach the semi-finals of the competition, with their best player having suffered a cardiac arrest in the opening fixture.

Patrick Vieira is evidently keen to add some of that Danish feel-good factor to his Crystal Palace squad, with Andersen being signed from Lyon for a fee in the region of £15m, as per the Guardian.

The 25-year-old is likely to have a considerable role to play for Palace next season, so you’d have thought they’d have something special lined up for the official announcement of his signing.

However, this is the best that Palace fans got, pictures of Andersen posing in his new uniform as though a proud parent wanted to document his first day at school.

Let’s hope he didn’t forget his lunch…
