Peter O’Mahony has signed a new central contract with the IRFU that will keep him with Munster and Ireland until the end of the 2022/23 season. Peter O’Mahony is a key player for Andy Farrell and Munster. The Cork native has played 74 times for Ireland and 141 appearances for his Munster, the Cork Con club man is vital for Ireland in the line-out and his work rate around the pitch is second to none.
Peter O’Mahony did have an awful start to this years Six Nations, receiving a straight red card against Wales in Cardiff, after an awful attempt to clean out a ruck. The Cork man has been a huge player for both province and country though including captaining the British and Irish Lions team for the tour in New Zealand back in 2017. The Cork man has been in great form as of late and hopefully with this new contract, and his ban up for the red card he received against Wales, we can expect more form the Cork con club man.
