Desperately sad news coming out of Brazil this evening as the legendary footballer Pelé has passed away at the age of 82. Pelé won three World Cups when playing for the South American giants of the game and will go down as one of it not the greatest to ever play the game of football.

How fitting that one of the greats of the game should pass away only a week after one of the best World Cups we’ve had and another great player Lionel Messi was crowned with the World Cup trophy. We send out best wishes and condolences to Pele’s close family and friends at this time.
