The former Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Scholes was talking to Premier League Productions last night and when asked about Manchester United’s display he said it was ‘disgusting’, so he ‘prefers to talk about Liverpool’.

“I have probably lost a little bit of anger towards them,” said Scholes. “I feel saddened watching it really. It’s not great to watch. They lack belief. They lack a way of playing.
“But I think I prefer to talk about Liverpool tonight. Liverpool have been sensational. An absolute masterclass on how to control a game of football and when it’s needed in the final third, that little injection of pace.
“I am saddened by Man United. It looks like this is the last place in the world they want to be. You can’t come to Anfield and be like that. It’s a disgusting performance.
“You can’t take anything away from Liverpool. They are a sensational football team.”
