Paul Scholes believes that Casemiro is as close to Roy Keane as he’s ever seen.
Manchester United has been in tremendous form this season, they are currently third in the league and have made up ground on both Arsenal and Manchester City.
Their rejuvenation in form is largely down to Erik ten Hag and the new recruits that he brought in during the summer, specifically Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro.

The Argentine and Brazilian have added a tenacity that has been missing from this side and Scholes believes that Casemiro is the new Keane.

“I always think about having a coach on the football pitch – almost being the manager on the pitch. For Ten Hag, he’s that man. He knows where he wants everybody to be.
“I’ve said this before, I’m a little bit surprised by the quality of his play – at Madrid it was all about Kroos and Modric. His passes forward, his awareness of people around him, he’s been fantastic.”
The former Real Madrid player knows how to win and it’s clear to all that he takes this Manchester United team up to another level.
