The former Kerry footballer and eight time All-Ireland winner Pat Spillane was writing in The Independent this week and isn’t in favour of the new shorter season of the GAA. One GAA fan David Connors has taken objection with Spillane’s stance and labels it as ‘I’ll be down a few quid’

Surely Spillane does have a point though? The GAA are extremely lucky that they’re is now major football tournament on this summer, otherwise the Championship would be a distant second.

Kerry will be raging hot favourites to go all the way in this summers Championship. Dublin won’t roll over though and it promises to be a cracking Championship towards the later part. Just a pity about the early rounds and the provincial finals last weekend.
