The Cork players have come out in force to say that they won’t be playing anywhere else other than Páirc Uí Rinn. Páirc Uí Chaoimh isn’t available of course due an Ed Sheeran concern. The Cork footballers are fully right and the powers that be in Cork GAA have got themselves in an awful mess.

“We feel this reasoning sets a bad precedent, it is wrong and it goes against the values of the Gaelic Athletic Association,” the players and management added in their statement, issued to the42.ie
“As such, we are preparing for the Munster Football Semi-Final on 7 May 2022 to be played in Páirc Uí Rinn. We will not be playing the match in any other venue.”
Cork footballers refusing to play in Killarney. Pairc Ui Rinn or nowhere. Messy. Why is Ed Sheeran playing at Pairc Ui Chaoimh at this time of the year? Obviously financial, but the GAA should take precedence over concerts. Not Ed Sheeran’s fault, I may add. Bring in the UN.

So the Cork footballers will not come to Killarney. And Ed Sheerin wins the Munster final. Well, it is April 1st.
