Manchester United manager Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has broken his silence on the possible transfer of Spanish playmaker Juan Mata.
Mata Joined Manchester United from Chelsea in 2014 and the former Spanish international looks set to leave Old Trafford this season.
According to Metro, Solskjaer admits he’s not surprised the creative midfielder is being linked with a move away from the Premier League.
‘I’m not surprised that teams are interested in him,’ said Solskjaer.
‘One, he’s a very good footballer, two he’s a fantastic professional and human being ‘When the contracts are running towards the end there will be interest, I’m sure Juan has been able to speak to other clubs if he wants to’
‘I keep in touch with him all the time anyway, we have a good dialogue.’
According to reports some of the clubs interested in signing the United no.Juventus, Roma and Inter Milan were all keeping a keen eye on Mata.
Mata was back in the United’s first team for the Reds 4-0 victory over Real Sociedad last Thursday in the Europa League after an unexplained six-week absence.
