Newcastle’s American right back has made his transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray on a permanent deal as Galatasaray announced today.

DeAndre Yedlin is currently 27 and Newcastle have found it best to sell him before his contract expires in the summer.

He had become Steve Bruce’s third choice at right back behind first choice Javi Manquillo who has just been handed a contract extension.

Steve also favours Emil Krafth over DeAndre according to the ChronicleLive and Krafth has over two and half years remaining on his contract.

The American is renowned for his speed on and off the ball with many expecting him to be a success in Turkey where he’ll get more of a chance to play expansive football.

Do you think this is a good move in his career where he will be hoping to gain more play time and become a regular starter again?

Bruce was speaking about Yedlin to BBC and said:

“Quite simply we have had three right-backs at the club now and DeAndre is suited to wing-back. It’s been no secret that we have made changes to a back four.

“I want to wish him best of luck playing in Turkey for a huge club like Galatasaray. He’s a great professional, and a great lad.

“Sometimes you have to let one out to bring somebody in so it could be a busy day for us.”
