Some extremely sad news coming out of Offaly GAA this morning 🕊️

News coming out of Offaly GAA of the passing of Eddie Bevans of Shinrone GAA at the age of just 41. Extremely said for Eddie Bevans family and friends and we’d like to send our deepest condolences to them at this time. 

Offaly GAA was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Eddie Bevans from Shinrone, at the age of 41, following a brave battle with illness.  Eddie represent Offaly hurlers at Minor level in 2002 and 2003, before going on to play at U21 level for three years 2004 to 2006. 

He made his senior debut against Wexford in the Leinster Championship of 2006 and made five Senior Championship and five league appearances for the county.  He was a stylish forward who represented his club Shinrone with distinction and pride.  We extended our deepest sympathy to his wife Sinead, son Cian, parents, brother and sisters and extended family.  Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam Dilis.
