Oasis legend Noel Gallagher says ‘Liverpool’s best years are done’

Rock and Roll legend and former Oasis man Noel Gallagher has had his say on Liverpool’s problems and according to the Manchester City fan ‘Liverpool’s best years are done.’

Gallagher’s comments came while speaking on talkSPORT and the 53-year-old said: “All the great managers I’ve said when you win it’s the end of something not the beginning of something, you’ve got to go again.

“I never thought I’d see City win a title never mind back-to-back titles.

“But I think with Liverpool their best years were spent getting there. Now they’re there, I think they’re done.”

The former Oasis man’s comments come off the back of Manchester City’s 4-1 demolition of Jurgen Klopp’s men over the weekend where Manchester City opened up the gap at the top of the league.

It wasn’t just Noel who had thoughts on football matters over the weekend as his brother Liam hailed City youngster Phil Foden as God.

Liam Gallagher’s comments came off the back of Foden’s ‘Man of the Match’ performance against Liverpool where he wrapped up the scoring with a cracking goal late in the game.

The young England star was left with what seemed like impossible boots to fill after club legend David Silva left leaving a gaping hole in City’s creativity department.

Thankfully for Pep Guardiola and City fans Foden has stepped up to the challenge and his goal against Liverpool is perfect evidence of just how good he is.
