The former legendary Welsh referee Nigel Owens has given his opinion on the dramatic ending to the Bledisloe Cup game between Australia and New Zealand at the weekend.
French referee Mathieu Raynal has come under the spotlight this week for making a massive call at the end of the Rugby Championship game between the Wallabies and the All Blacks.
Nigel Owens has said Mathieu Raynal was 100% right in his decision and the Wallabies and especially Bernard Foley can only blame themselves for not listening to the French man’s warning and not getting on with the game!

As so many of you have been in touch to ask. Clear communication and warning to the player to get on with it. A fair and strong refereeing call my Raynal I feel. Learning here is not for the referee, but the players to get on with it when ref asks. pic.twitter.com/oZQASsO93f

A massive blow for the Wallabies because they had a great chance of winning the Rugby Championship if they managed to get through that game.
