Carl Froch had recently backed himself to beat Nigel Benn in a fantasy fight.
Froch and Benn are two British boxing legends and it is an intriguing fantasy fight match-up. And you could make a case for either to be victorious so it comes as no surprise that both fighters would back themselves to win.

Benn speaking to Fruity Slots responded to ‘The Cobra.’ He said: “Carl Froch said ‘he’d beat me and he’d do this’ that’s his opinion, you can’t knock a man for his own opinion. He had a hard fight against [Mikkel] Kessler, but Kessler was no Iran Barkley, he was no Doug DeWitt, he was no Chris Eubank or Gerald McClellan, I can go on.”
“But I’m not knocking him, he had a good chin, he fought Jermaine Taylor and just pulled it out the bag, he was about to lose that, I’m not knocking him, he was three time world champion, but I’d give it my all and I know if I catch him, that’s it mate.
“And if he catches me, who knows, we both have dynamite in our hands. I didn’t duck anybody, he could have fought Joe Calzaghe but that never happened.”
Benn went on to name the Welshman as the greatest super-middleweight of all-time.
“Joe would have won that 100 per cent. He was the best super middleweight of all time.”
