Manchester United are interested in signing N’Golo Kante from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to the Guardian.
Kante has been one of the best midfielders on the planet for several years now. His extraordinary energy in the midfield areas is like nothing we have seen before.
Sadly from a Chelsea perspective, the Frenchman has been struggling to stay fit for any considerable period of time over the last 18 months.
Considering his contract with the Blues is due to expire in June of 2023, you have to wonder if the club would deem him worthy of an extension.
What could be food for thought for the Blues is that the Guardian report Manchester United would be very keen on signing Kante this summer.
Though Chelsea are unlikely to want to strengthen a rival, if they really believe that Kante is over the hill then this could be the perfect opportunity to cash-in.
It’s comparable to Chelsea selling Nemanja Matic to Man United for £40m. A great player with a huge reputation – but he gave Chelsea his best years.
