Ahead of signing his new four-year contract with PSG Neymar has revealed why he has decided to stay in France and why going to the Premier League wasn’t an option for the Brazilian.

According to the Mirror, the 29-year-old didn’t fancy a stint in England’s top flight because the physicality of the league put him off.

If Neymar had decided to come to the UK only Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United could have afforded the Brazil star but it seems Neymar wouldn’t have had been too keen to facing some of the league’s rougher teams.

Speaking to MailOnline Neymar said: “I do not get to watch a lot of the Premier League, but I have heard that there’s a lot of physical contact involved in the game…”

“But the French league also has too much physical contact!’
