Football fans are always making predictions. Who’ll win the league, which manager will get sacked and who’ll be the next big thing. Well one fan got it spot on back in 2012 when he predicted the rise of Jamie Vardy with one simple Tweet.
Vardy has stunned the footballing world this season by going on to break Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s Premier League goalscoring record by netting in 11 games in a row. Reports are now suggesting the speedy forward would command a £30m price tag should the Premier League big boys come calling in the January transfer window.
Coming up through the non-league with Fleetwood Town, Vardy was known for his goalscoring prowess, but one Twitter user sent a warning to the rest of us that no one heard.
