An unofficial study was carried out by the website FanChants.com to determine who is the most despised club in England.
The website broke down its archive of over 26,000 chants to see who was the most sung about club in the English top tier.
While second-tier Leeds United lead the country as the subject of 117 unfavourable chants, Liverpool top the list of Premier League clubs.
There are over 50 anti-Reds songs floating amongst Premier League fans making Jurgen Klopp’s side the most sung-about club in the top flight.
That’s 16 more than their bitter rivals Manchester United who contribute 12 anti-Liverpool songs all on their own.
The most common is the “sign on” variation of “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” which is sung by 15 clubs across the land.
Arsenal make up 25 of the 42 anti-Spurs songs, while Manchester City fans contribute 15 chants about their cross-town rivals United.
Spare a thought too for Sunderland, who are not only battling relegation but are also the fourth most disliked team in the Premier League with unflattering songs chanted about them.
