WATCH: Incredible sportsmanship as Danny Mullins saves fellow rider from nasty fall

An incredible piece of sportsmanship from Danny Mullins helped his fellow rider Jody McGarvey return to the jockeys’ room safely at Roscommon today.

McGarvey’s mount, Old Supporter, rattled the sixth fence and gave the Kildare-based jockey a smack in the face that appeared to briefly have McGarvey out cold.

But just as McGarvey looked set to slip to the ground, Mullins caught his rival by the scruff of his silks and dragged him upright.

Both jockeys ended up pulling-up but were happy to survive the ordeal.
