UFC champion Conor McGregor is being investigated by police in Ireland after posting a picture of himself holding a gun on social media.
Irelands favourite son Conor McGregor is being investigated by An Garda Siochana (The Irish Police Force) for posting a photograph of himself wielding what looked to be a gun.
McGregor posted a photo to his Instagram account at 2am on Thursday with the caption ‘Put the fight game in the bag and step away from the vehicle’.
Crumlin Gardaí are said to be taking this seriously and have given a statement “We are investigating the circumstances under which the photo was taken. Gardai from Crumlin are investigating.”
The gun is most likely an imitation fire arm of either a Heckler or a Koch MP5 machine gun but the Law aren’t taking any chances.
In the photo he is seen sitting in the front seat of his BMW i8 car which only a handful of people have in the entire island of Ireland as they go for the price of a small house at €150,000 a pop.
So far McGregor hasn’t been charged with anything but Gardaí are sure to keep an eye on the situation.
