Arsene Wenger Set To Give His Players A Mid-Season Break

According to the Telegraph, Arsene Wenger is apparently ready to rest some of his first team players for the FA Cup third round tie against Sunderland on Saturday, in a bid to keep them fresh and fit for a crucial second half of the season.

The Gunners do not play again in the league until their clash with Liverpool at Anfield on January 13th and, even with the potential additions of Alexis Sanchez and potential new signing Mohamed Elneny, reports suggest that up to 10 first team players could be given a rest for the visit of the Black Cats on Saturday.

The Telegraph goes on to claim the likes of Petr Cech, Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny,  Mesut Özil and Olivier Giroud amongst others, will likely be given the chance to take a well deserved breather.
